Still Looking

Hubby and I are concerned about the apt. in Abbeville...those reviews were pretty bad! I am so glad that I looked at them on the Internet. Just spoke with a gentleman that is co-owner of a trailer park in a nearby community...found a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, and much newer (this one is over 25 years old!) trailer for the same price as the apt. We will check it out this afternoon.

Did you hear the news...MLAS co-owner Linda will be parading down the streets of her city wearing a sandwich sign about MLAS...we achieved her goal of 30 LOs for the Sept. Mystery LO Challenge! Yipee!

Aarrgghh!

I am getting the feeling that my "perfect apartment community" misrepresented itself to us...I have just read some really bad stuff about them. I am so mad! Thankfully, we didn't really sign the lease yet...at least, I don't think that we did.

Zee and Best News for Us

I burn this candle for the safe return of Zeee.

My friends from MLAS from the Phillipines were involved in a typhoon. We know that Mye is safe but, we haven't heard from Zeee.

Our Best News...we will be moving during the month of October to an awesome apartment in Abbeville, Louisiana. It is a large 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment...we are now in a very small trailer in the country. We are soooooo excited! And...they are pet-friendly!

Back Home

I got back home from Houma yesterday afternoon (went to spend time with sis-in-law). We went to the Bandjoree at a local high school to watch my nephew perform with his nationally-rated high school band, Lafayette High School. Sis-in-law, Bucky (wild, 3 month old Jack Russell), and Durango (6 year old, huge American Bulldog) are spending the weekend with us!

Loss

I lost a dear, dear friend this morning. My canine niece, Kibbles, went to Puppy Dog Heaven.

My Boyfriend LO

Bacardi is my niece's dog. Whenever I visit, I say, "Where's my boyfriend?", he comes running to sit on my lap! He is such a sweetie!

I finished the last 2 challenges for MLAS! I used Cranberry Antiquity by Mama Mia and the template by Kate Designs for Dragonfly (template challenge) and Pocketful of Sunshine by Connie Prince for Mermaid Shades (scrap mix challenge).

I did this LO for the Souvenir Challenge at Scrapable. You had to use certain items (souvenirs by RoseMadeDesigns), a picture of nature (My aunt's Bird of Paradise bloomed today.), and the word...tweet!

I made this LO for the Island Manuscript Challenge at Scrapable and the Font Challenge at MLAS...Flower Power ... using the Light Up My Day Kit by ShanMomto4 at Scrapable. I used 3 fonts...smiley monster, eight-fifteen, and Girls Are Weird.

My designers for MLAS are Mama Mia and Connie Prince...I'll be making LOs with Mama Mia's Grab Bag and Connie Prince's Pocket Full of Sunshine. My designer for Scrapable is Jaya Prem's Hangout. (I haven't decided which kit I will be using!)

It's been a rough day and to top it off...DH backed into his sister's new car. :( I hope that tonight is better!
