Yes, it's a post from me! As most of you know...my computer died in October and I had hoped to be up and running within a few weeks...but, that just didn't happen! At this point, I am hoping that Santa Paws may find a new desktop for us...we'll have to wait for that wish!

Molly and I are pet-sitting for my sister-in-law and I put a trial copy of PSP 13 on their computer...so, I get to scrap for about a week! Last night, I made a new siggie and a LO for ScrapElf's new release, Jolly Christmas. I'll put it up when the kit is released!

Two of my designers released kits today...Mye De Leon (and Charlize Creations) released their collab, Family. It is available at either SBB or Gotta Pixel. ScrapElf released several new templates and the Worn Out Kit.

My LOs with Family are As Family featuring hubby and I and Family Loves You featuring Maidalyn and her parents. I created the Jazz LO using ScrapElf's Worn Out Kit and Rectangular Templates.

I have been a busy bee making LOs for the last two days! These two were for MLAS Challenges...Ice Cream (Font Challenge) features my sweet niece, Maidalyn and uses ScrapElf's newest kit and template pack. (Stick to Me and Rectangular Templates). Rope Climbing(Template Challenge) features Maidalyn and uses The Blues by Kate's Digital Designs. (The template is by Kate, too!) Under the Bed features my Dad's cat, Peaches. I used Mye De Leon's The Sweet Life Kit for this Gotta Pixel Grab Bag Challenge.

Did you hear the news? Mye De Leon is at Gotta Pixel. Check out her newest collab with Connie Prince...the August Digi-Survival Stash...Wonderful Life. It's available at Gotta Pixel and SBB! My LO, Vroom! features my hubby and uses this awesome bundle.

Just a hint...Mye has another kit soon to be released...it has awesome pastels!

At Long Last...

I am finally posting...I have been gone over 6 weeks and just got home...it was lots of fun to visit everyone but, it's great to be back in my own house! I have been making a few LOs for my CT Designers and my designers at MLAS. I will be posting on a regular basis again and showing off new kits and layouts!

Bubblescrap Designs released a new kit at SBB yesterday, A Day at the Circus. It is an adorable fun kit and is on sale for $4.20!

I was in a creating mood tonite and made FIVE layouts...all for challenges at SBB! Molly (Color Challenge) features my furbaby and was created using the In the Mood 4 Love Sampler by Charlize Creations. My Bone (GAB Challenge) features Durango and uses elements from SBB's June Grab-A-Byte. Hugging Cardi (Template Challenge) was created using A Day at the Circus by Bubblescrap Designs. Happy Father's Day to my earthly Dad and to my Heavenly Father!

I made two layouts tonight for one of my designers at MLAS...both layouts feature Miss Mis Designs. She is a new designer at MLAS! Real Wild Ones features my niece and her kids acting crazy and uses the Wild One Kit. Text Me features my niece, Alyssa and uses both Squared Away Templates and the Text Me Kit. (I knew I had to get that kit...the colors match perfectly with the photo!)

I spent a fun afternoon with hubby's family to celebrate Father's Day. Darryl cooked some awesome Baked BarBQue chicken...and other normal BBQ foods! The chicken was my favorite! We had so much fun acting goofy and taking pictures!

FIVE new LOs! Wow! Hubby went to sleep early (He leaves the hotel at 3:15 am.) and I have scrapped while listening to the music of his soft snores and his occasional sleep-talking! LOL!

Faces of Anna features my cousin's daughter and was created for the MLAS Mystery LO Challenge using Too Sweet For You by Jamie Dell Scraps. She is a new designer at MLAS.

The other four LOs were created for challenges at SBB...Life of a Cute Dog (June Font Challenge 1) features Bucky and uses The Sweet Life by Bubblescrap Designs. Sitting Pretty (June Font Challenge 2) features my Dad's cat, Peaches and uses Whale of a Good Time by Connie Prince. (Connie RAKed me this kit...thanks!) Naptime (Color Challenge) features a sleepy Maidalyn and was created with the StarLight-StarBright Sampler by Late Night Scraps. Absolutely Beautiful (Mums the Word Challenge) features one of Sarita's beautiful roses and was created using the hot pink paper in Some Like It Hot (Bubblescrap Designs).

I created Sweet Smile (my niece, Maidalyn) using Lazy Days.

Saturday night, I participated in the Late Night Speed Scrap at MLAS...we had a great time chatting! My LO...Milo's Story was created using Oh Baby Boy by Miss Miss Designs and features my cousin's sweet baby!

I am still with my hubby in Galliano, Louisiana where he is working as a security guard for one of the companies that responded to the BP Oil Spill. I am staying at the hotel and have been enjoying creating LOs. Emilee was created using RebeccaB designs, Galliano uses a template by Kate's Digital Designs and Samceline's Waste Paper Kit, and Pool Puppy (Adena, again!) uses Scribbled Papers by ScrapElf.

I am in Galliano, Louisiana visiting my husband (a security guard) at his newest post, Wild Well Controls. WWC is the company that is building the items being used by BP for the oil spill. Since we live about 3 hours north of here, he is staying at a Days Inn...compliments of his employer. I am visiting and enjoying relaxing and using their free Internet! Molly is being cat-sat by her Aunt Patricia...and I am sure that she is not really a happy cat!

I was asked to join ScrapElf's CT...they are also my other designer for June at MLAS!

I have been making LOTS of layouts...some that I can share and some for my designers' future releases! I think that my favorite LO is the one that I just completed...Tinkerbell features my sis-in-law's male Siamese cat and was created using Lemony Fresh by Tracie Stroud. It's the DST June Gold Member Kit. (thanks, Mye!) Fahrmann Family Gathering features my Dad's family and was created using the This Year and This Year Forever Summer by ScrapElf. AJ features my cousin's son and uses Go Play by Miss Mis Designs (my other MLAS June designer...her shop has not yet opened at MLAS) and was created for the MLAS ScrapLift Challenge. Fur-Baby, Jack is my niece's cat, Jack and uses RebeccaB's Octopus Garden and was created for the MLAS Color Inspiration Challenge.

Well, it's official now...I am on the CT team for Kate's Digital Designs (Kate Duvall)! I create for Kate!

My June designer at MLAS is Miss Mis Designs...her shop is not open yet at MLAS but, it should be soon!

I have 2 layouts that I can show on my Blog...most of my current LOs are for soon to be releases! I created Folding Towels for the SBB May Newletter Challenge using Boy-sterous by Bubblescrap Designs and Connie Prince. Posing features my niece wearing her Great-grandmother's red hat...it was created for the MLAS Template Challenge and uses a template and the Tranquility Kit by Kate's Digital Designs.

I finished the 2nd half of May's challenges at MLAS! 100% Girl (Mystery Lift Challenge) features my niece, Maidalyn and uses designs by RebeccaB and Dream Big Designs. Cutie (Font Challenge) is another LO of Maidalyn and uses Alice by Samceline. Who Am I? (Gourmet Challenge) features my nephew, Aaron and uses both MLAS designers and others.

I just discovered that dry Post AlphaBits cereal is a wonderful late night snack food...minimal calories and low in fat!

Wow...Mandy King will be releasing a new kit at SBE this weekend...Check out Chromatic Symphony...wear your sunglasses!!! It's a bright and cheerful kit! Both of these LOs were made with the kit...Sushi? features my friend Sarita celebrating her birthday and Bright Eyes features Durango (my canine nephew.)

I've made a few other LOs recently...Love Has Many Faces features my step-sister and our niece making funny faces for my camera and uses Endless Love by 3 Dog Designs, Inside Your Eyes (MLAS Lyrics Challenge) features my hubby and uses BrittBree's May Grab Bag. Resting in the Sun features Bucky (another canine nephew) and uses Zebras in My Garden by RebeccaB for the MLAS ScrapMix Challenge. (I love that kit...the zebras are adorable!), Flowers of Summertime (which got nominated for LOTD at Scrapable...yipee!) was created for the Sketch Challenge at Scrapable and features Here Comes the Sun by Bubblescrap Designs.

Bubblescrap Designs is releasing a new kit with Connie Prince...Boy-sterous is a great kit both for the guys and just general summertime photos. I really like the colors. I have 2 LOs...Rough and Rowdy and Metal Detecting both feature my step-brother and his daughter.

Bubblescrap Designs has released a new kit at Scrapable. Here Comes the Sun is a fun kit with bright summery colors. Slurrp! features my niece and is made with this great kit!

Z Pink Boudoir Designs (one of my May designers at MLAS) has a new kit debuting today. Baby Next Door is a great kit with pinks and greys. Aunt Kristen features my step-sister and our niece.

Well, finally, my back and shoulder are getting better...it's nice to be able to sit in front of my laptop without pain! I've been making LOs but, most are for kits that have not yet been released!

I have been trying to complete the first round of MLAS April Challenges...I'll share a few of these...

I was in a goofy mood when I created Easter Eyes for the MLAS Gourmet Challenge...it uses elements from 10 different designers! (The font is Spicy Sushi Roll...I love the name and the font is rather kewl, too!) Easter Sunday was created for the MLAS Template Challenge and uses Sunshine Sorbet by the Sunshine Studio Designers and WordArt by TLC Creations. No! Photo! (MLAS Font Challenge) features my silly brother-in-law and was created using elements of Kate Designs April Grab Bag.

I have also made Speck-taters using A Child's Dream by Dream Big Designs and WordArt by TLC Creations. (I love the freebie word art from TLC Creations...check it out!) Meow is my mischevious feline nephew, Tinkerbell, and uses elements from Kate Designs April Grab Bag. Believe in Yourself features my cousin's adorable daughter and uses the MLAS Charity Collab., Be Well, Believe. All proceeds will go to Ovarian Cancer Research. Bubblescrap Designs has released a new kit, Sugar Coated is full of bright colors, awesome elements, and a super alpha! I absolutely love the alpha! I made a few LOs using Sugar Coated...Sweeter Than Sugar features my canine niece, Adena, Spoiled features a friend's dog, Princess, and The Haircut features a friend's daughter...who decided to give herself a haircut!

Happy April Fool's Day! This is not a joke...Bubblescrap Designs has released her April Grab Bag at MLAS...It is full of kewl, kewl stuff! Check it out...the image is linked! I made both of these LOs with the Grab Bag.

I had a fun afternoon visiting with my aunt, 2 of her grand-nieces, and her great-grand-niece. The little one kept us in stitches. She has quite a vocabulary but, pronounces the t in words as an L. Her yogurt was in the refrigleralor!

This weekend will be fun...we will be puppy-sitting our canine niece, Adena. She looks like a stuffed animal. She is an Alaskan Malamute!

I have been making LOs but, I can't show them because they are for kits that have not yet been released! But, I can tell you that two new kits for Bubblescraps have one of my favorite colors in them...purple! And, the OKC for Rebecca_psp has some yellow elements (another favorite color!)!

Tongue Piercing and a Tattoo

I did this LO for the Pretty Scrappy Photography Challenge (take a photo featuring someone's eyes) using Teri's Thing-O-My-Jigs kit, Dot Dot Dash. It features my brother-in-law's tattoo of my sister-in-law's eyes. It was fun watching Elizabeth's Eyes being tattooed on Robbie's shoulder. It was a long and tedious process but, the artist did a wonderful job.

While we were waiting for his Tattoo Artist to begin, I was asked if I wanted to watch a young adult get her tongue pierced. It was quite interesting (I don't plan on having mine pierced!) and was honored that she allowed me to watch!

Family Fun!

I made a layout yesterday...Smile features my cousin's precious daughter, Anna. I created the LO for the MLAS Template Challenge. Kate made a fantastic template...I just love it!

All but one member of my Dad's family went to a family gathering Saturday evening at Donna Pat's house. She cooked two awesome soups for all of us to share. We so enjoy getting together and keeping up with everyone's lives. I took bunches of pictures...including the one of Anna that I used in the LO!

I completed a few more challenge LOs at MLAS. By the way, tomorrow is the last day to get the freebies from the MLAS Birthday Blog Train! I just downloaded the train and it's full of wonderful surprises!

Mom, Dad, and Anna features my cousin, his wife, and youngest daughter...I created it for the Gourmet Challenge using elements from several MLAS designers. Jack features my niece's soft and fluffy cat...it was created for the ScrapMix Challenge and also uses elements from several MLAS designers. Mako features her big girl doggie...it was done for the Friday night Speed Scrap and uses mostly elements from Abby by our newest designer, Chickensocks Scraps.

Don't forget about all the wonderful challenges at MLAS...not only our normal challenges but, also the special Birthday Bash Challenges, too!

I have to share about my Molly...I just went into the kitchen for a late night snack (she thinks that anytime I go into the kitchen...it's cat snack time!) and she followed me. I told her not now...you just had a snack earlier...this one is for me! I came back to the computer and heard noises coming from the kitchen (she and I are the only ones awake)...when I went into the kitchen...she had gotten onto the counter and opened the cabinet with the treats and was trying to make the bag fall out of the cabinet! I had to run for my camera...you will see a LO soon! Well, as you can guess...she did get her treats and she's now snoozing in her box by me!

My Job uses Happy Times by SAS Designs. I also made a LO for the MLAS Gourmet Challenge...So Loved features my much loved niece, Maidalyn, and uses many MLAS Designers!

Super Bowl Champs...Saints!

It's like a fairy tale...I still can't believe it really happened...the New Orleans Saints won Super Bowl 44. It was an awesome game. We ended up watching with some friends and eating Earline's wonderful crawfish ettouffe at halftime. The area went wild at the end of the game...fireworks, people screaming outside...everyone was just so excited! Louisiana needed the win! I think that the moral of our citizens will be greatly improved! :)

I made a LO Friday night for the MLAS Speed Scrap hosted by Jac. Making Memories aka Unhappy Faces features my cousins when they were little. I used the Vintage Euphoria Kit by Bubblescrap Designs and Rebecca_psp for the layout. The kit has awesome elements...check it out!

I made 2 Bragbook Pages for one of the new Feb. Collabs at MLAS. The kit is awesome and it was so much fun to work with it! I can't wait to use it for other layouts! The collab will be debuting around Feb. 12.

Bubblescrap Designs will be having a new kit debuting on Feb. 10 at Pretty Scrappy and on Feb. 11 at MLAS. I can only give you a tiny hint...you'll love it's jewel colors!

I made 2 LOs last night for MLAS Challenges. It's A Buck features my brother-in-law's reaction to seeing the buck photograph that was taken with his backyard camera. I used Bubblescrap Design's new kit, Cappucino, and did the LO for the Template Challenge. Durango Relaxing was created using Lil Sweetheart by brittbree and was done for the Scraplift Challenge.

I am in the process of downloading Vintage Euphoria...a collab between Bubblescrap Designs and Rebecca_psp. It is an awesome kit and is on sale...check it out today!

Thursday was a lazy day...John didn't have to work. Late in the afternoon, we went to Books-a-Million for John to order a book and for us to visit the Joe Muggs Coffeeshop! I love their Chai Tea Latte!

I just finished making a huge Taco Soup...hopefully, we won't eat it all and I will be able to put a couple servings in the freezer! It's great to have a bowl of homemade soup when I don't feel like cooking for myself!

Yipee! I finally got my computer back last night! I celebrated today by making 4 LOs. Wasting Time featuring my feline nephew was created for the MLAS Scrap Mix Challenge using Bubblescrap Designs newest kit, Cappuccino. Typical Day was created for the MLAS My Life IN Scrap Challenge Week 3 (I am trying to get caught up!) and was created using Moonlight by Samceline. Family, created for the MLAS Project 52 Photos Week 3, uses Tulipping by Rebecca_psp. My Feb. 2010 Desktop (MLAS Desktop Challenge) was created using Love is Funky by Rebecca_psp.

We celebrated my sister-in-law's 49th birthday Tuesday night. The birthday girl (Elizabeth), my other sister-in-law (Patricia), and Elizabeth's son (Nicholas) went to Deano's Pizza for supper. John was so happy that he received the left over pizza for his breakfast!

I did a little grocery shopping after my blood work on Tuesday. I was very excited to find two packages of ground meat on sale. (Albertson's puts the freshly ground meat from the Butcher Block on special when it closes at night. You can get great quality ground meat for $1.49 a pound.) I put 2 packages of 1 pound each in the freezer and made hamburger steaks for our lunch yesterday. It was so yummy!

Maybe Tuesday, I will get my computer back...I am sooooo lonesome for it! I have been seeing some awesome LOs in the MLAS Gallery...so many creative LOs...it has made me extra lonesome for my computer! Creating digital LOs is very relaxing for me!

Awesome new kits...WOW...the designers at MLAS have been extra busy...there are some awesome new kits in the Shop. I can't wait to shop with my Spirit Squad Coupon...my designers for Feb. are BrittBree and Kate Designs.

What a 10 days it's been...from forgetting my computer in another city (Yes, I have not had my own computer...no digi-scrapping, no games, acckk!) to having the flu with hubby (yes...that was a major obstacle!). I can finally say that I am feeling better. And, it looks like sis-in-law may be bringing my computer to me soon!

Yes, I am a very proud member of the New Orleans Saints Who Dat? Nation! The Saints are NFC Champs and will be visiting Miami in February! Watch out Miami...tailgating has a new meaning in Louisiana and we'll be bringing it to FL! At the end of last night's game, fireworks were going off all over the city of Lafayette and I am sure all over the state! I have stuck by the Saints through thick and thin times and I am so excited!

Yesterday was a good day! Hubby and I slept late...he got home at 6 am from working all night. I generally digi-scrap and cook while he is at work. Then, we sleep together until he wakes up! We had gumbo for late lunch...I tried making it this time from a mix...and it was awesome! It contained turkey (I had boiled a carcass.), deer sausage, rice, and the mix. Yummies!

I made two LOs on Tuesday. Measure in Love was created for the MLAS Lyrics Challenge and features my grandparents on my parent's wedding day. I used Rebecca_psp's new kit, An Air of Elegance. Strike a Pose features my adorable niece, Maidalyn, posing in her Aunt Kristen's shoes. I used Just Sassy by Dream Big Designs and Date Circles Word Art by @ Jacquies.

I also made 2 LOs Wednesday night. Molly in the Window was created for the MLAS Scraplift Challenge and was made with designs from Rebecca_psp (Drastic Kit) and Rucola Designs (Hard Feelings Kit). New Year's Eve Party was created for the MLAS Gourmet Challenge and features some of my friends at the party. I used elements from several MLAS designers but, most of the LO uses Just Sassy by Dream Big Designs.

I made 3 LOs tonite...all for MLAS Challenges and using MLAS designers. Christmas 2009 was created for the Template Challenge and features 12 pictures of holiday fun. Embarrassing...Yes was created for the Project 52 - My Life IN Scrap Challenge and is a story about an embarrassing moment for me. 2010 Goal was created for our Biggest Loser Challenge.

I woke up to more sinus problems yesterday...the itchy eyes, runny nose, and congestion made me feel lousy. I really did very little besides making the LOs and washing a few dishes. Now, it's time to go to zzzzzzz...John will be home in 1.5 hours.

Well, Sunday was a better day...I didn't make it to breakfast as I had previously planned...I slept through breakfast time! LOL! I did cook my roast in the crockpot...it was delish! I made two LOs using Mandy King's (aka Mama Mia) new kit, Wintersweet. It will be available today at Scrapbook-Elements. It's a really kewl kit! DJ White as Snow features my friend's cat and was created as a late entry to Saturday's MLAS Speed Scrap. Ready, Aim... features a friend's son playing in the snow.

Yesterday was a cold day in south Louisiana. Hubby woke up on the wrong side of the cave...so, his mood was interesting to say the least! LOL! Men...sometimes they are so strange! Thankfully, he went to work at 10 pm...and Molly and I are enjoying the peace!

I have a beef roast defrosting and will put it in the crock pot when he gets home at 6 am. Then, hopefully I can have a fun day for myself! I plan to start by having breakfast at the local diner (about 2 blocks away)...reading the newspaper and relaxing sounds great. I'll have to pick up potatoes and butter to make whipped potatoes. Yes, Mother Hubbard's cupboard is on the empty side! LOL! His payday is this week and I will be having a grocery shopping trip!

I spent New Year's Eve at a party hosted by my aunt and her husband. We had lots of fun playing games...my group played Catch Phrase and the other group played Dominoes. We had lots of food...including 3 types of fondue and we toasted with champagne at midnight. (John missed the fun...he had to work!) I spent the night at my aunt's and went with them to our friends' home for New Year's Lunch. John came over when he woke up and played the new, Tie One On Game with us!

Family Xmas in Sulphur

I had a fun day yesterday...we celebrated CHRISTmas in Sulphur. We all had so much fun watching Maidalyn opening her gifts...I really didn't realize that so many Princess items were available! LOL! She knows everything about them and had a great time playing this evening! Dad cooked a big chicken and sausage gumbo and Sarita made her famous potato salad. We enjoyed opening gifts from each other and John will have 3 to open when I get home. (He had to work on Sat.) I'll get to visit with Maidalyn again later today...she is spending the night and then, her Dad will bring her back to her Mom.

Our New Orleans Saints lost their first game last night to the bad boys in TX...the Dallas Cowboys. I am still so very proud of the Saints this year!

I took lots of pics...new LOs coming soon! I ordered my new kits from MLAS for the remainder of the month but, I haven't gotten to dload them yet!

Shopping, Movie, Fun!

I had a fun afternoon yesterday. My sis-in-law, niece, and I went shopping at the Mall. (People watching at Christmas time is soooo much fun!) After about 2 hours, my niece's son and daughter met us. It really was fun shopping with 2 teenagers...an experience...but, it was fun! After shopping, we watched a movie at my niece's house!

I caught up on my email and digi-sites and made 2 LOs for Scrapable's 12 Days of Christmas (2nd Day...Speed Scraps). I used the Scrapable Dec. Collab, Mele Kalikmaka, for both of them.Mako's Water Bottle features my canine niece and her love for water bottles and Mr. Snowman features a snowman that I saw at the Acadian Village's Christmas Lights.

Another cold night in south Louisiana...John and I went to see the Christmas Lights at Acadian Village...it was awesome. We even got our picture taken in front of the little church where we got married. I'll be making some LOs with the many pictures that we took!

When we got into the car, John said that he thought we needed to get some fancy coffee drinks...so, we went to Barnes and Nobles and has flavored lattes...yummies! We looked around the store...so many kewl items!

We stopped off at Barbara's house and got a good supply of loving from the 4-legged relatives! Mako (large Pitt...I call her my Big Baby Girl) thought that she would make a nice neck scarf and decided to lay on the back of the sofa and my neck! She snuggled and gave me kisses! Cardi was on my lap and wasn't happy that Mako was encroaching on her Aunt Kayre time! We even played with the cats and the new (and adorable) kitten!

I've gotten lots of great photos during the past week...I will be making layouts with the wonderful kits from my December designers. Oh, don't forget that Bubblescrap Designs has her awesome December Grab Bag revealed and on sale at MLAS for $2.99...a full kit with alpha, templates, QPs, and word art! Wow!

Wow...I am over 100 posts...and to think...I didn't know how to do this a few months ago! LOL!

It's raining tonight and is supposed to be stormy tomorrow. I really hope to get something accomplished in my house tonight while J is at work! I would love to surprise him with CHRISTmas decorations! Of course, I will be resting and scrapping along the way! LOL!

We are supposed to be getting snow flurries this afternoon! Yipee!

I spent last evening dloading lots of kits for my designers at MLAS and Scrapable AND Collabs for both sites! Whew....I uploaded lots and lots of stuff off my computer onto DVDs! Now, comes the fun part...lots and lots of LOs and QPs!

I will be helping a friend later today to prepare for a Winter Ball on Sat. nite...she does all the decorations, all the food, and...this year...she and her husband are King and Queen. It will be a busy day. I guess that Saturday will be very hectic, too...I will be helping to get the food on the tables and enjoying the Ball. (John has to work but, he probably wouldn't go if he was off...but, I do plan to have fun! LOL!)

I can't wait to see the white stuff...sneaux is a rarity in south Louisiana!

I made 3 LOs for Mama Mia Designs using her December Grab Bag that went on sale yesterday at MLAS. Merry and Bright features Darryl and Jaseon's Christmas tree, Maidalyn 1208 and Tweet Girl feature my adorable niece.

MLAS has renamed the CT...we will be called Spirit Squad members and we will have other responsibilites besides doing LOs for our designers. My designers for December are Tempus fugit and Dream Big Designs. I have already gotten the kits that I will be using for the LOs. (I just need to make space on my hard drive for them! Will get the DVDs that are on sale at Target tomorrow!)

It's raining tonight in south Louisiana and according to the forecast, we will have our coldest temps this year during the week. Brrrrr! I made chilli the other night but, John wants another batch...perfect for the upcoming cold weather. I am currently making smothered taters and sausage. When the taters are done, I will make a Chicken and Veggie Soup...it won't take long...the meat and broth were frozen...I just need to add the flavorings and the veggies! John rarely eats soup but, I eat it when he's not home. I do most of my cooking late at night when John is at work.

It's Black Friday!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my nephew and his partner's house. Darryl was an awesome cook (his ham was sooooo delish!) and Jaseon was a great host. Hubby's family (minus a niece and nephew (they were with their Dad) and 2 of their friends attended the fun event. We had lots of fun taking pictures, playing chess (2 cousins), and chatting! Then, my sis-in-law, niece, and myself were invited to a friend's house to share their Thanksgiving supper...whew, we were too full from lunch to eat very much but, Corey's turkey was soooo moist and Donna's spinach casserole was fabulous! We all came home with a plate for tomorrow, too!

I got my niece to take a few pictures of John and I for the MLAS Lyrics Challenge...I think that the LO turned out awesome! I always have a smile :) on my face when John and I look eye-to-eye!

My only sure plans for Black Friday are to go to Albertson's for the 77 cents frozen veggies! I may go to Target to get a $3 toaster but, I doubt if I will be going early!

Hummmm...November is flying by...one month until CHRISTmas! Yesterday was the anniversary of my Mom's death...23 years ago. I still miss her so much! I decided to honor her with my LO for the MLAS Desktop Challenge. It will be my December desktop...her birthday was December 23. (When she married my Dad, she told him that there would always be 2 gifts for her in December!!! LOL!!!)

I have a few more challlenges to complete at MLAS...I need a new picture of John and I for the Lyric Challenge and I need to complete the Mystery Lift. I have new kits for my Nov. Designers...so, I should complete the challenges soon!

I have a surprise...I am on a new CT Team...will announce it on here when the designer annouces it! I am excited because I really like her work! :)

The 2nd half of Scrapable's Blog It! Challenge is for me to describe my history of how I became a digital scrapper.

Well, I really don't remember what made me start...I guess that I was just cruising around the Internet and found several sites and layouts. I do know that John gave me a digital camera that Christmas and on Feb. 14, 2004, I made my first layout. Mirror Image featured a photo that he took of himself looking up at the mirror (through the fan) in our (then) living room. I posted my layout at Scrapbook Bytes...Mirror Image. I think that the layout inspired my creativity to continue this fantastic art form.

I had a blast until May of 05, then, we moved and the Internet was no longer available. I was lost without my creative outlet until 12/07...and, I have been constantly creating layouts since then! I even continued making layouts when we didn't have the Internet for about 5 months by using the free Internet sources in Lafayette. (I was a regular at Chick-fil-a!)

I love digital scrapping and hope to one day get into the area of designing...stay tuned for more on this!!!

Fall in south Louisiana was created for the Scrapable Souvenirs Challenge using designs from Totally Twisted Scraps and Shanmomto4. It features the trees changing colors outside my living room window. (not much color change for south Louisiana!)

Count Your Blessings was created for the MLAS Template Challenge and Scrapable X Marks the Spot Challenge. It features my aunt, Janie and my cousin's son, AJ.

I made 2 challenge LOs on Thursday. I did Barbara for the MLAS ScrapMix Challenge (using Grassy by MartiScraps) and Thanks 4 Being My Friend (using Autumn Breeze by Shanmomto4 and featuring 2 of Barbara's fur-children) for the Scrapable Treasure Hunt Challenge.

I am getting ready to go to sleep (midnight is early for me!) after I decide what dessert I am making for the Jones' family Thanksgiving meal. I will get the ingredients when I grocery shop later today. I am thinking about making my Orange Stuff (cool whip, orange jello, mandarin orange pieces) and maybe, the recipe on Pretty Pixels ... Tanyia's Blog (but, I will make it into a bundt cake instead of mini-cupcakes).

Alyssa's Birthday and Thoughts of Winter

Saturday was my niece's thirteenth birthday! Alyssa was in a Judo Tournament and got a medal. Most of the family attended the event...even though it was almost 2 hours away! We had fun but, were pooped! Then, when we got home, we had a family Birthday Party for her at Pizza Hut. I've been making a few LOs...they'll be up soon!

Scrapable has a challenge called Blog It! where you are challenged to write in your blog about a certain subject...this month the challenge is...Winter...love it or hate it! Well, even though I am very, very cold-natured, I love the winter. In south Louisiana, we get very little true winter weather but, I would LOVE to visit someone that gets 4-5 (or more) inches of snow on the ground! Hint!!! Hint!!! Sometimes, we do get snow but, it rarely stays on the ground once the sun comes up! We have had winters with severe ice storms and that usually brings life in south Louisiana to a standstill. No one knows how to drive in the ice (and our vehicles are really not prepared for those conditions!). In Cajun Country, we call snow...sneaux (pronounced the same way!). I am hoping that we will have a cold winter (We had much colder weather when I was a child.) and the forecast for Monday night is a low of 45...so.... maybe!!!

I completed 13 LOs during iDSD weekend...12 for Scrapable iDSD challenges and 1 for an MLAS Speed Scrap. Out of all the Scrapable iDSD weekend LOs...this one was chosen as Layout of the Day! I am so excited...I am now wearing a LOTD blinkie! This LO features Peaches (Dad and Sarita's cat) in Dad's underwear drawer!

There were lots and lots of digi-freebies on the web...including a Blog Train from MLAS and SSS...I can't wait to open them and make LOs!

I did 3 layouts for a one kit call for Daily Joy by Tabea of Sunshine Artz. Daily Joy is a fun kit with a coffee theme but, it has lots of elements that can be used for other layouts. Hybrid Project

Wow...I forgot to blog this week...sorry! This afternoon, I made a pencil can for my kitchen for the MLAS Hybrid Challenge. It was lots of fun and super easy to create. I used the Autumn's Allure Kit by Kathy Winters for the can and the LO!

A Good Monday

It's been a busy day...I organized a few boxes...still have lots more to do... both here and in the storage unit! Scrapped a page last night with Autumn's Allure by Kathy Winters at Scrapable. I am anxiously waiting for my designers for November for both MLAS and Scrapable! And, I can't wait for the new challenges!

I am watching the Cake Boss on TLC...it has me craving cake...just plain old cake (like birthday cake)...2 layers, icing in the middle, and icing on top...and give me the sweet stuff...not, that whipped stuff!

Well, I am caught up on all my challenges except for the Hybrid at MLAS. I really, really love doing challenges!

One Breath? features my husband blowing out the candles on his birthday cake...he did use one breath to blow out 53 candles! The LO was done for the Treasure Hunt Challenge.

Wedding Day is another LO from my aunt's wedding. The LO (with a picture of her wedding cake) was completed for the Mapquest (template) Challenge.

Autumn Fun features my sis-in-law (Elizabeth) and I riding the 4-wheeler at her home in Arkansas. The sun gave an awesome glow to the photo. I used an autumn quote by William Bryant for this Fun in the Sun (quote) Challenge.

Awesome Nephew showcases some of my nephew's (Aaron) outstanding qualities. I scraplifted gette3 (Asha's Coat) LO for the Lazy Day Challenge.

Little Old Man RJ showcases my nephew's cat...I used JayaPrem's Hangout's Garden Party Kit. RJ's name is in the Font Challenge font...Base 05.

The Bride Effect is my aunt wearing her "Bride To Be" outfit...I used the Garden Party Kit for this LO, too. This LO was completed for the Everyday Inspirations Challenge using a slogan generator site. I put in bride and it gave me the title, The Bride Effect.

Molly Halloween Cat features an extracted Molly in a Halloween scene for the Souvenir Challenge. The elements are from Totally Twisted Scraps, Spinky Dink Scraps, and Scrapberry.

Live Laugh Love is my boyfriend, Cardi and I. I used ShanMomto4's Lazy Summer Days Kit and Dirty Feet Designs' template for this X Marks the Spot Challenge.

I had so much fun making LOs tonight. John is working in Baton Rouge tonight and Molly is sleeping on a packed box. Patricia, Barbara, Jaseon, and I made a load from the trailer to the condo this afternoon but, I was too lazy to unpack it all! Have a Blessed and safe Sunday!

Well, John is at a Gun Safety Class for work...he will now be able to accept jobs that need an armed Security Guard. He is quite proficient shooting with his right hand but, this job requires him to be proficient with both hands...please say a prayer for him to do well with both hands!

I decided to stay at the condo while he is in class...guess we'll make another run tonite! I am so ready to be finish with the move!

The sun is shining...Yipee...it's good to see it! I am ready for much cooler temps...we normally have cool mornings at this time of the year...have not seen any yet!

I just thought that I was pooped on Monday...last night was much worse! I went to zzzz at 8 pm...about 6 hours early for me...I am normally a night owl! Got a bunch moved yesterday and a big load brought to Goodwill.

Molly is enjoying laying in the window in a sunbeam...we have been having very little sun the last 2 weeks...just lots and lots of rain. There is a 60% chance of the wet stuff this afternoon...she'd better enjoy the sun while she can (she just fell asleep...she loves the wide window sills in the condo!).

Moved lots of stuff today...I am pooped! I am hoping to get most of it placed in it's proper place before I go to sleep...so, we can reuse the boxes tomorrow! Molly is having a blast digging in the boxes! It has been raining all day...a dreary day!
